EASA FTL Calc helps flight and cabin crew calculate and monitor:

You do not need to calculate or enter time zones manually:

. Simply select an airport from the database
. The time zone is determined automatically based on the airport and date

For each rotation, you only need to select:

. The rest location after each duty day
. The next reporting airport is automatically set to the previous rest location

EASA FTL Calc is designed as a duty logbook, not as a flight logbook:

. You do not need to enter every individual block time
. The app does not manage cumulative block-hour limits

If your roster can be downloaded as a .txt or .csv file, it can be opened directly in EASA FTL Calc.
Because AIMS can be configured differently by each airline, occasional compatibility issues may occur. In many cases, these can be resolved.

Calendar import:

Roster data can also be imported from your calendar.
Because calendar entries can use different formats and naming conventions, occasional compatibility issues may occur. In many cases, these issues can be resolved.

• “Back-to-Back Operation” is no longer unintentionally activated when adding a new duty day. This only affected the last day of a rotation with the home base as resting airport.
• The 3 required local nights for east-to-west / west-to-east transitions have been adjusted in line with the EASA FAQ. Both rotations must each have a time-zone difference of at least 4 hours. In addition, the time-zone direction is now handled correctly again. 3.1.3 Jul 10 This update focuses on code modernization, planned reduced rest, additional FDP and rest information, improved warnings, updated airport data, and better overall stability.

Code Modernization
The calculation logic, the import process and the right duty day table have been completely rewritten using modern frameworks.
This improves robustness, reliability, stability, and future maintainability through better data and error handling.

Fixed issues include:
• A crash that could occur when importing an airport that was not available in the database and had no time zone information.
• A time zone display issue for a second home base located in a different country than the main home base.
• A display bug that could show “Previous Data Incomplete” or “Last Rotation” for non-flight duties in the duty day list of a rotation.

Earlier Cabin Reporting Extension (up to 1 hour)
In rare cases, applying the extension based on the cockpit FDP could result in a shortened cabin FDP.
→ The calculation now always selects the longer valid FDP.

Bug Fixes
A crash could occur when switching between 2 and 3 legs in the “Augmented Cockpit Crew” selection while the table was being updated with animation.
A crash could occur if “Rest Not Achieved” was activated very shortly after enabling “Augmented Cabin Crew”.
Fixed an issue where “Min Notification at Home Base” in Settings → Delayed Reporting was always reset to 0 due to leftover test code, instead of using the saved value.

Updated Airport Database 3.0.1 09/17/2025 This release focuses on design and content updates to improve usability and clarity.

• Safeguards were added to prevent unexpected behavior during user interactions with the table view (e.g., selecting or deselecting items multiple times).
• Custom animations provide smoother transitions during table view updates.

On-Block Time Input Reworked
• Code modernized for improved reliability and maintainability.
• Fixed an issue when selecting “Clear” (On-Block Time) without a previously set time caused errors.

Code Optimization
• Legacy iOS code and frameworks prior to iOS 15 were removed to unify the codebase.
• Special design layouts for smaller iPhone screens (4/4S/5/SE 1st gen) were removed.
• Removed the COVID-extended FDP rule for avoiding layovers on long-haul flights.

Shared iCloud Sync (beta)
• Log files can now be copied to the clipboard.
